Tomato and Mozzarella Pork Schnitzel

This recipe is so delicious, an Italian take on a pork schnitzel. The feature meat in the recipe is a tenderized boneless pork chop. You can pick up your pork schnitzel at the shop for $6.00/Ib. If we don’t have any in the display counter just ask and we’ll quickly do some up fresh for you. We suggest pairing your pork schnitzel with some simple garlic noodles and a Caeser salad…
Ingredients
- pork schnitzel (1 per person)
- Italian bread crumbs
- eggs
- white flour
- tomato sauce (use your favorite)
- mozzarella cheese
Cooking Instructions
- first set up your breading process for the pork schnitzel. In 3 seperate bowls place flour, eggs and bread crumbs
- Follow the above order to bread the schnitzel, first coating them in flour, then in egg and then in the bread crumbs
- heat some oil in a pan on medium-high heat. Sear each breaded schnitzel for 1-2 minutes a side until they are golden brown
- next cover them in your favorite tomato sauce and top with shredded mozzarella cheese
- place on a baking pan and bake in the oven at 400°C for 15-20 minutes
- serve with your favorite Italian sides, we recommend simple garlic noodles and Caeser salad
